Choosing the right builder is less about the render and more about what happens on the show floor.

Look past the render

Every builder can produce an attractive 3D visual. What matters is whether the design can be built within the hall’s constraints — ceiling height, rigging limits, floor loading, power availability and stand boundaries. Ask for the technical drawings that sit behind the render: plans, elevations, structural details and a materials list.

Build quality is a show-floor issue

A stand that looks correct in the workshop can fail on site: panels that show seams under hall lighting, graphics that bubble after a day, edges that chip during install. Ask how the stand is finished, how graphics are applied, and what touch-up materials come to the show. If possible, visit a previous build or ask for close-up photographs rather than wide shots.

Install crew and schedule

Installation is where most stand failures happen. Confirm who builds the stand — the builder’s own crew or subcontractors — and how many people will be on site. Ask for the build schedule in hours, not days, and check it against the organiser’s access windows. A stand that needs 18 hours cannot be built in a 10-hour window regardless of good intentions.

Handover discipline

The stand should be handed over clean, complete and tested: lighting working, screens playing, storage locked, electrics certified, graphics inspected. A written snag list with timescales is a sign of a professional builder. Verbal assurances at 2 a.m. are not.

Plan for reuse

If you exhibit more than twice a year, ask about modular design, crate dimensions, storage and a documented parts list. A reusable system with a proper inventory usually costs less over three shows than three separate builds — and it arrives consistently.

Questions worth asking

Who builds the stand, and how many crew will be on site?

What is the build time in hours, and does it fit the access window?

Which elements are custom and which are from a modular system?

How are graphics produced and finished?

What is included in the handover, and who signs it off?

What happens if a part arrives damaged or missing?

Can the stand be reused, and how is it stored?

How Smart Events helps

We design, fabricate and install exhibition stands in Riyadh, Jeddah and across the Kingdom — with our own build crews, documented handover and reuse planning for exhibitors who attend multiple shows.

What to compare beyond price: technical drawings, build quality, install crews and handover discipline.

[6

post-1327","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-exhibitions
["GET
